How did this get started?
It
was 1979, and the seeds of
Living Water Teaching were planted in the country of Guatemala by Pastor
Jim and Marion Zirkle. Cultivated and nurtured by the Zirkles, the
work of this ministry grew to include outreaches in eleven countries around
the world. The Word of God is sent forth by way of Bible schools,
evangelistic campaigns, medical clinics, Operation Shoebox, and through the
ministries of the graduates of the Bible Institutes in each of these
countries.

Mercy Wings International was birthed to complement the mission of Living
Water
Teaching in Guatemala and surrounding countries. Aircraft would prove
to be a valuable asset, on which the ministry mission could move forward.
The fleet would grow to include: single, multi-engine, piston, and
turbo-prop aircraft. In November 1998, a tragic accident would cause
Mercy Wings to lay dormant for the next 10 years.

Today, Mercy Wings International again stands ready for
flight providing air services to further the mission of Living Water
Teaching by speeding relief, supply, and workers to the people of Central
America.

The many aircraft that once served Living Water Teaching and the people
of Guatemala have long since been placed into service elsewhere outside the
ministry save one, the last to join the Mercy Wings team,
a Cessna T206H. |
